Love it when a plan comes together - having put a V2 on the triple deuce last week this a.m. I decided to mount the V1 on the little CZ .22lr as it has been a real challenge shooting the wee rifle after the point and shoot .17hmr and .222. The .17 hmr has a Pard 008P on it but it shoots so flat I didn’t see much point in swapping it with the Zulus so the “loopy” subsonics and the lrf/ballistic calculator seemed a good idea….
It took me some time doing the ballistics jiggerypokery but all seems to have worked ok.
Zeroed at 50 yards then squelched back to 79yds - the bottom target on the brown card was the zeroed 50 yds and the top was at 79 so apart from one sloppy trigger control (off sticks) how happy am I? What is particularly noticeable to this oul fella is how much simpler the inputting of the essential BC data is with the V2.
Next will be much longer distances - though pinging a tree at 389 yds nearly pushed the holdover zero reticle off the bottom of the screen.
Lots of cheap fun to be had though….
