Zulus V1 and the .22lr

Love it when a plan comes together - having put a V2 on the triple deuce last week this a.m. I decided to mount the V1 on the little CZ .22lr as it has been a real challenge shooting the wee rifle after the point and shoot .17hmr and .222. The .17 hmr has a Pard 008P on it but it shoots so flat I didn’t see much point in swapping it with the Zulus so the “loopy” subsonics and the lrf/ballistic calculator seemed a good idea….
It took me some time doing the ballistics jiggerypokery but all seems to have worked ok.
Zeroed at 50 yards then squelched back to 79yds - the bottom target on the brown card was the zeroed 50 yds and the top was at 79 so apart from one sloppy trigger control (off sticks) how happy am I? What is particularly noticeable to this oul fella is how much simpler the inputting of the essential BC data is with the V2.
Next will be much longer distances - though pinging a tree at 389 yds nearly pushed the holdover zero reticle off the bottom of the screen.
Lots of cheap fun to be had though….

Used my V1 Zulus rabbiting on my HMR last week for the first time and it was almost too easy.

Unreal results and had an awesome night on an old permission we used to lamp as a lad with my cousin, with old back pack battery shooting 22lr freehand (and missing almost everything).

Shooting off tripod sticks with a pig saddle and NV scope with thermal spotter … it’s a new world!

Tonite - weather permitting, I am off rabbiting. I cannot remember the last time…..

Call me old-fashioned Smelly but I confess I have never used any updates - except on my Pulsar Axion thermal spotter.

That's fine. Long as you are happy.

Although the pard ds picture is no where near a zulus putting data in is easy compared to the early zulus firmware.
The later firmware makes much easier.
Glad you having fun.
Was it the little stuzen you were shooting?
Sounded like it.

Indeed it was the little stutzen Smelly - a thing of beauty even with the Zulus on board.
I have checked with a good gunsmith and it is possible to thread it without ruining it’s stunning good looks soooooo…

How do I update my Zulus V1?

So err, you didn't fancy a few shots offhand for the thread below?

Crikey, I don't remember how to do it. It was over a year ago. Google it mate.
Basically you need to download the dnt app and go from there. I don't think you can update it without a smart phone app.

It is worth updating.

Nb the app is now DNT not arken even if your unit says Arken on it. Mine was early v1.

Yeah that's it.

It was quite simple I remember.

Bought an Alpex 4K Lite for my 308. Found it so good I ended up buying another one to throw on my .22lr

The ballistics and LRF on all these scopes, truly is the stuff of witches

I have a zulus v1 for my Brno mod 2, but it came with a 0moa rail and I cant make it work! What do others have the 20moa or 35moa rail?

I need to buy one, but would rather not buy two!!

What do you actually mean - is it shooting too high/low/left/right? You can get quite a bit of adjustment by simply shimming between the sight and the mount…

PS
Do you not need a picatinny adapter/conversion rail/rails for the very narrow BRNO - see pic but ignore red circle…
