Schultz and Larsen - Wood Stock - Classic and Victory

Are the pillars stainless steel? Just thinking about potential corrosion?
No they are not but they do appear to have some sort of coating.
A few years ago I took my Legacy into the Kaimanawa Ranges stalking Sika deer and it rained.
My cousin who also had his Legacy and I were in the bush for four days and the entire time it hosed down.
We went hunting everyday and came back to camp and dried the rifles off the best we could.
Once home I stripped both rifles and wiped them over with Eezox and have had no corrosion issues at all. Also after all that rain and the stocks being soaking wet they too suffered no ill effects.
IMO this is testament to the guailty of finish that S&L use on their firearms.

Impressive.

Back in October 2025 I received a price for a new S&L 60 cm 6,5x55 barrel and it was NZ$1800 including 15% GST which equates to around £770. Considering the extra freight to NZ I would expect our price to be more than what you have to pay in England.

That is a very good price considering they are between £650 & £750 here.
