No they are not but they do appear to have some sort of coating.
A few years ago I took my Legacy into the Kaimanawa Ranges stalking Sika deer and it rained.
My cousin who also had his Legacy and I were in the bush for four days and the entire time it hosed down.
We went hunting everyday and came back to camp and dried the rifles off the best we could.
Once home I stripped both rifles and wiped them over with Eezox and have had no corrosion issues at all. Also after all that rain and the stocks being soaking wet they too suffered no ill effects.
IMO this is testament to the guailty of finish that S&L use on their firearms.
