So after a quick search on the internet I’ve come up with very little info. I’m wanting a new PRL22 rifle for next season and have my eye on a preovned one but also looking at possibilities of building a custom CZ457. Who makes heavy profile barrels that are available here in the UK?

Where abouts are you based? I’d be giving Mike Norris a call (brock and Norris). So many of the top shots utilise his skills and have barrels fitted by him. Phoenix or proof, 24” 1:14 would be my choice.

I’m in North Yorkshire but from Sheffield originally.
I’m still on the fence as to whether buy a preowned Vudoo. Or go the full CZ457 custom route.
I ordered a Vudoo and then successfully cancelled the order. The issue that I have with Vudoo is that they are great rifles, but who can I get to work on it when things go awry? Vudoo's UK agents were spot on to deal with. Brock and Norris have made RimX 22 one of their things, so folk are beating a path to B&N for RimX, so clearly there is UK based support for RimX. I like my CZ 457's and I have two at the minute, but it's likely one of them will go in the Spring. I got the barrels for my CZ's from Mik at Dolphin Rifles, but I've fitted the barrels and Timney triggers myself.

It would depend on what you want and prefer. The vudoo will have a couple of action types, one a 90’ and one the 60’ in the 360 action.
I have a cz and prefer the 60’ throw so would go for a 360.
Saying that, I love my cz action! Plenty of people I know have simply had a cz action. Re-barrelled.
I’ve just ordered the new MPA rimfire elite which is based on the vudoo360 action…it’s custom build money but custom quality kit imo!

Numerous issues with Voodoo and RimX reported from end users I understand
Extraction issues and jams with spare parts needed at the firing line
Not a great advertisement for such a spendy outlay
A chaps in the states has or is offering CZ extractor modified bolt heads for the RimX
But the CZ appears to be a sorted, cost effective and an accurate “go to”
Guess it isn’t trendy enough

How’s this shooting with the lilja? Is it the 20” barrel?

Can be finicky - especially if you don’t load the mag carefully
I have a Cz 452 that I’m thinking of replacing with a 457 with a Lilja barrel in .22LR and or .22 win mag

Lovely looking set up. What is the performance like of the lilja compared to the factory?
The Lilja barrels are better. However I never had the luxury of being able to rigorously test a Lilja barrel against a CZ match barrel due not having unlimited access to an indoor range. I felt the 20 inch CZ barrel that was briefly held on my FAC as a separate barrel was pretty good. Also when testing two barrels against each other, I would want to have selected the best ammunition and best headspace for that ammunition. It would have taken me a couple of days on an indoor range to test two barrels. I just don't have the possibility of doing that.
None of the CZ barrels that I have had were bad, but the Lilja barrels perform better.

Apologies for missing your query.
I have medalled at Bisley shooting FCSB with the 20 inch barrel.
I've won Senior PRS 22 prizes with the 26 inch barrel.
