NO British police don,t shoot people, they could have used a taser or just walked away and checked his number plate and arrested him later, he was just a innocent father, lovely man, would not harm a fly.
Hang on I am sounding like the left wing press or people who live in an alternative galaxy from most people.

At least he was given a warning and opportunity by the police to put down the gun before he was shot.

I remember watching a documentary / study about police shootings in the USA, one of the studies was a cop against a criminal on GHB, it took two magazines of 44 mag over the width of the vehicle to put him down, both were severely wounded but lived, both were upper torso shot, but neither in the spinal columns or heart, which is essential to stop a person with fewer shots apparently.
