This is how it has been for the last few weeks in Aberdeenshire. We are stuck in a weather pattern that shows little sign of lifting. At least the days are getting longer although it's hard to tell sometimes.
One of the biggest groups of roe I have seen for a long time. Because the weather is so grim I am using my little waterproof Olympus TG5, limited focal length on that one.
Last week we had a day long power outage, the SSEN truck with a couple of poles on the back went past a few hours into the event and I saw this in my neighbour's field a day or two ago. I think this may be connected to the outage, there was no thunder that day so probably not lightning. Could a live wire in contact with a soaked pole cause a burn like that? Whatever did it was powerful. The yellow object is a safety warning from the pole.
