Cheap night vision scope

Keep an eye on here in optic sales, last week I got a yukon sightline 470s for £65 delivered, brilliant night time only scope

Thats insane!! I've used few NV (,including alpex 4k) and I've not seen better than n470s for a nv image.

Agreed, I now have two, for a dedicated night rifle they take some beating

Pards are a great bit of kit for swapping between rifles whilst maintaining standalone day capability but you need an AO (or preferably SF) scope to get the best out of them whereas the Photon, N470 etc are obviously dedicated units & simpler to use (but arguably compromised day imaging?). Obviously if you up the budget to around the Zulus, Infiray TD50L, C50 range you’re going to get far better imaging but OP specifically states that he was looking for best result for least outlay?

N470s will be too big and clumpy to put on an air rifle. N450 better but as rare as hens teeth.
N470s is brilliant on CF for foxs.

If its just for occasional rats with an air rifle and the OP has a suitable scope, a Pard NV007 probably fits the bill

Following this thread with interest. I do have a Pard007 but the scope has to be so far forward for the eye relief with the Pard fitted that the scope is all but useless when pard is off the rifle. Would love a day/night vision scope with normal eye relief that could be set permanently on the rifle.

I don't get why people recommend pard 007s. They only work if you don't mind the fact that your eye relief changes by about 3 inches. They're comedically bad and I think people are being a bit disingenuous by not pointing out the obvious flaw in them.

I could be wrong but this seems abit of a mine field it seems I just need to pi** the wife off and blow my budget and just buy something worth keeping and hopefully I like it

Yes and no I’ve got a loan of a prad 007 but it’s very temperamental

it works perfectly fine then just cuts out its like you need to turn it off and back on again if that makes sense

Might be something in the settings needs adjusting or the battery is loose.

I use a sytong 66 which is similar and it's brilliant for the money.

Not wanting to rattle any cadges but I can’t say im a fan of an add on and im glad the chap only loan it to me he’s wanting to keep it as a spare for himself. He’s the farmer behind the farm I shoot he has a fancy pulsar thermal scope that he kindly let me look through anyway he only loaned me it but on the plus side I think I gained a new permission he’s said if I see anything worth shooting on his land to just shoot it or at it and gave me his number

With the n470S? I did use to use a solaris srx but the onboard is very good. Only issue i found with onboard was it whiting out very easily on close grass etc & couldn't adjust obviously. But with the solaris it was perfect. One night I detected heat signature what I knew was a way off but couldn't tell much of anything. Through yukon, I could see they were neighbours horses, able to tell which was which, which was eating- if they'd had name badges on I'd have been able to read them!! Google maps said it was well over 700yd. Fantastic nv unit.
