Pouring here too Smelly - again!! How you getting on with the Luxus - long or short barrel preferred?

Very good. I shoot it very well, it gobbles up whatever is stuffed into it.
Short barrel. I moved the long one on.

Up side of a very wet week was:-
1. Ferry cancellation meant unplanned night in Portpatrick Hotel - excellent and their malts now need replenished; and
2. Thanks to Google I found this little treasure - Glenluce Gunroom - great store and a very helpful chap running it

Port Patrick is a favourite place of ours. I use to fish in the harbour.
Glen Luce gunroom was a favourite stop also.
I use to stalk up river from New Luce.

#14 Had to get out. Took a shotgun. Hissing down. Found a vixen in a corner of a field. Snook down the hedge for a 25yd shot.
Vixens still seem to be in season!

Yeah, direct sown into the maize stubble.
Has some sheep on it at the moment.

Yep. I bought a 3” magnum semiauto for a goose shooting foray a couple of years ago. Damned thing refused to cycle after first shot whilst my pals were all putting three rounds in the air at the same time. Replaced it with a Baikal - utter brute of a thing - wouldn’t cycle anything regardless of weight/length so bought the Luxus with two barrels - what a revelation, cheap as chips and darn thing cycles everything without effort. Pal told me all his gamekeeper pals swear by them….

Jess gave it a good send off but it got to much for it!

Scouting before dawn today.
No deer, they've had a heavy cull in the forest.
No fox's.
A few rabbits and hares so I recycled some unwanted bullets from @Donkey Basher on a nice buck rabbit.
