Pulsar thermion 2 WiFi won’t connect to phone

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had this problem, the WiFi comes up on my phone but just won’t connect and I need to update the scope to the new firmware, tried some other devices and all had the same result, does anyone know a quick fix?

What phone & Streamvision version are you using? Have had issues myself where original Streamvision will no longer load on to my I- Phone 16 or MacBook meaning that I can’t connect my Helion (XQ50F) any more & get same issues when trying to connect to WiFi (no issues with Streamvision 2/ my Thermion DXP & these still work fine).

Contacted Thomas Jacks who were massively helpful in checking the latest firmware for all of my Pulsar products etc & double checking compatibility but sadly they also confirmed that it’s an issue that Pulsar know all about with the latest Apple products (all to do with WAP security) but are yet to address! The only solutions they could offer was that original Streamvision still worked fine on Android if I had one but, as I don’t, the only way that I could download any files was by direct/wired download to laptop as a media file (I.e. not via Streamvidion App). They also pointed out that my older (but still fully functional) devices were at their last known firmware patches but that they are no longer supported/will not receive any further updates.

Yet another case of manufacturers making their older, yet fully functional, products obsolete - anybody would think that they were trying to force you young buy a newer model!!

Are you making sure WIFI is enabled on the scope - mine sometimes drops out

Aye I’ve been using steam vision 2 but when I connect the WiFi it says week security so it might be a problem with the newer iPhones, I’ll contact Thomas jacks cheers
 
On my zulus the WiFi connection doesn't work unless I turn the 4g data connection off. The phone isn't happy it doesn't have a connection to the internet.

If you tried other devices maybe not but it can be the phone playing silly whatsits.
 
The “Weak Security” message is exactly same snag that I was getting although it only occurred with original Streamvision App. To do with outdated WiFi security (WPA, WPA2 etc). Slightly confusing that you’re getting it with Streamvision2 though as the App lists all Thermions as being compatible?

On stream vision 2 I can connect to the scope but it won’t let me install the new firmwear because the WiFi isn’t connecting
 
Why the need to upgrade the firmware?, I am very cautious now over "Upgrades" after a couple of disasters from such "Improvements"
My other thermal on my foxing rifle is the xg60 and it’s up to date with firmwear and I just like to keep them both the same
