Popular in the 80's, the late John Darling used this model, first scope I ever bought with my own money was a 4x40wa, which I still have on a webley victor, supposedly the factory that made them went on to become Hakko which made early nightforce scopes, you can see similarities in the design

I have got one on my HW77k. Also 4x fixed mags on at least one possibly 2 BSA Mercurys. Was using one on my mates HW80 last week.
If I dig out my old collection of Air Gun World I might find the original articles. I brought mine in the early 80S. Very good scopes in their time and not bad now. I think they were made by JOL The company went though some changes but pretty sure they made Hakko and early Night force scopes. Also some top end Tascoes.

@Greenmist i think i have that one on my rimmy 3-9-50 with dot reticle ?
I think they offer a target dot, most of the range were duplex wide angle, they used to run a big advert every month in the airgun mags, not 100% but think the company were based in Lancashire, Optima Leisure Products. If you play around with google, airgun world optima or airgunner optima you'll see an old advert
