Bird id?

Farmer friend has just told me of in his words a yellow headed duck like bird on a small pond he has seen while ploughing but not a grebe!
Any ideas?

An escaped emperor goose, they have yellow heads and look a bit like a duck, a place I used to shoot Canada’s on used to have them
