Everyone seems to have a favourite, my experience over the past two years, ive tried peregrine vlr4, barns ttsx, hornady cx all in the 139 range and no amount of trickery will get them to shoot. (This is subjective, ive seen people get bullets into 4" and go stalking)
1:8 kreiger before anyone suggests twist rate.
120 ttsx were acceptable which would suggest to me the above bullets are too long even though 1:8 is apparently within the acceptable range.
Theres a reason the heavier copper bullets have a blunt nose, its to reduced the length with a detrimental effect on bc (again before anyone points out, this is irrelevant at average stalking distance)
If using copper, light and fast seems to be the way, but for shooting distance, the physical laws of science dictate there is no finer element than lead!

I’m the polar opposite and always have been.
30 grain bullet difference says so , however i can drop big reds up to 300 yards no bother with hart /lung shots with 100 grain copper ttsx . Less recall and faster onto the next beast. Some Nations / States allow 50 grain , indeed its perfect for the Inuit hunting seal / walrus on the sea because they don't sink as fast from bullet exit holes.150gn much better

How many big reds have you shot with copper?
I’ve shot a lot and I mean a lot, I’ve shot them between 50 m and to just under 400 m, all with Barnes tip TSX, never light never fast, all light fast bullets tell me is it’s gonna pencil through, seen it, tracked them had to clear the mess up afterwards!
so you carry on spouting whatever you believe, and I’ll base my theories and explanations on experience.

Really interesting, you are one of the few people that seems to advocate this. I’m interested as to why you say that light fast bullets would pencil through?

Because I’ve seen it happen and I’ve done it myself!
When you put 2 shots into a lowland hind at under 100m and it’s just flinches and scuttles off never to be found, that load got scrapped, I lost 4 animals with that batch of 100gn tsx, I’ve never shot light and fast ever again to this day!

So, a sample size of 4 deer?
It is appreciated that you have a large sample size for what you do currently but your post above suggests a handful of lost deer is what your theory is based on with no recovered carcass to establish any evidence of how the bullet has performed.
I lost a decent sized pig I had shot with 110gr TTSX a couple of years ago. I attribute that to poor shot placement. Shot hundreds of deer and a fair few pigs and remain an advocate of going a bit lighter and a bit faster with monolithic LF bullets.

1 hind is too many, 4 in total is too many in by book!
More than would fit on the argo even when there was beasts ropred around the ones in the deck. in a day without counting the night calling after .
Actual numbers ? Not my roll to keep the records of numbers normally besides
I don't know why you want to prove here , I have a website and if FB / Insta wasn't dropping Bans on our kind .
Not much of a deer search then eh LOL ! Sometimes we all find a beast and think "how in Hell , did that beast get that far . Slight chance it was an underfilled factory round , personally i hate factory ammo ! Its cost is too great and shoots less well than hand loads , its a game of pennies for the factory .
