Looking some feedback from any owners of the Erma EM1. I'm looking at buying one of these if i can find one in top condition. I have done plenty of reading but would like some real world opinions from owners. Thanks in advance.

I use to have one but had a lot of issues with it not cycling and feeding the next round. Apparently it's a problem with the magazines. I got rid of it about 10 years ago. However there may be some improvements available since then. Otherwise it would have been a fun rifle to shoot.

I also used to have one a long time ago. I purchased it new but after a couple of years it developed cycling issues. It was a fun gun but you can do a lot better in my opinion. Not sure I would buy another one. Good luck in your search.

I had the .22LR Bremmer that did look like an M16 and found that it worked best with ammunitiion that was dry lubricated bulleted and that was also sold as "semi-automatic". It was the early type that used genuine full size M16 magazines with a five shot convertor insert.

A local club had one of the M1 Erma carbines and it wasn't, shall I say, quite as much a "fun gun" as it may have appeared at first impression. My advice? I'd try before you buy and try with the ammunition that you are most likely to be able to obtain.

My club inherited a Erma M1 . It was ok but magazines were a little temperamental. They scrapped it after it went full auto one night 😆

That's definitely not good. I wonder had someone worked at the trigger? Definitely haven't read of any similar experiences. The main issue I'm seeing is feeding rounds. Not sure if that is the mags or the action.

Think it was just well worn and possibly very unclean?
