Level actions - typical usage

Smelly dog I forseen your post when I read the post from sol, but it’s obvious he is correct as it’s not called the 30-30 creedmore or prc.
I new I had wasted years using the 30-30 with Winchester white tails.

I was drooling over a very nice lever-action rifle at the Stalking Show today, with some nice wood and some jazzy gold plated metalwork

Now if this were a shotgun, I'd have been very tempted to make a silly impulse purchase, but alas..

What's the typical usage or 'purpose' for these types of rifles in the UK? Fairly sure the one I looked at was .45-70 calibre...
I have 45-70 and 30-30 conditioned for deer and target and both make large deer (England) legal with lead or copper home loads, I also have a Rossi 94 in .38/.357 with a 20" barrel that is on for target and vermin with AOLQ that makes 1250 ft-lb so muntjac legal and I have used it for Muntjac stalking.IMG_9958.webp

45-70 marlin is the stainless / laminate, 30-30 is wood / blue and the Rossi is the unscoped picture.
