I never thought the Pro would have a better image, especially in low light.
The big thing going for the Pro is less weight and far better ergonomics.

About time I changed the missus for a new model then…

That’s not to say that in time the firmwares won’t change that , but for now ….

Wow.... just goes to show that better specs on paper mean jack sh1t. Gutted to be honest, was expecting more. I wont be buying.

Perhaps future firmware updates might improve IQ.

I don't think the spec of lens was as good on the Pro or the was it the sensor.
Either way from the spec sheet you could gather that low light performance wouldn't be as good.

Even with IR its disappointing. I was hoping better zoom capability with the higher res sensor.

I’ve just had a play with mine side by side with the 4k. I find it’s a larger picture with the 24 mag than the 4k with 28 mag, slightly clearer I find when you look at the target at 296 yards. I done a tests from 20:00-21:00 hrs for me once I adjusted the brightness and contrast personally I think the new unit is clearer.just my humble optinion bit I have no regrets in buying it.

Checked them again at 22:30 hrs at a sheep at 386 yards, the ir was a pbir as that’s what the lad had on his 4k, both not bad really but I would give a slight edge to the 4k! for what ever reason it’s maybe 5% clearer (maybe) it’s very close. Still think the pro with the new functions ie-the zoom and parallax and lighter weight is worth the money if you want to change. They are both good bits of kit and for £840 odd quid they are both bang for your buck. Again just my opinion

Best thing about it is the the eye relief/screen size is better. Can see the whole screen without the 308 bouncing the ocular bell off my face.

Scott country are showing a 1080 hp upgrade is due on the pro before August not sure if that would improve the picture slightly if not its a bit disappointing

We did try 2 sirrus ir’s together one on each and again it was close but I thought the 4k had it over the pro but just!! Not a lot in it at all to be honest. Definitely happy with the pro though and with it being more user friendly

Talking to one of the Elite staff at the stalking show, his comment to me was that if you are looking for a stalking scope for mainly day use and looking for that extra bit either side of daylight absolutely go with the 12mp pro. If you are looking for a night vision scope the 4k is the better choice. That makes sense to me, a stalking scope is mainly competing with traditional glass.

Watched a good clip with the old and new side by side same ir same target same conditions same settings. At dusk and night the 4k is better save your money keep your 4k or by the 4k secondhand at a bargain

The innomount will fit and room for the hik IR mount. Just did one.

Which mount are you using? I bought an innomount when i pre ordered the scope. Scope arrived yesterday and clearly I have bought the wrong one as there was nott enough room to seat the scope in the bottom rings. Hoping the retailer will take it back and swap it for me

I got mine yesterday, got it mounted and zeroed in 3 shots. Certainly more user friendly than the 4K. I do not do a lot of night time stuff but I rolled over two fallow at almost 1 this morning and the picture clarity was spot on. Granted the ranges were between 100-150m but certainly no complains. Glad to see it is lighter also.
