Just received 300 50gns Vmax “brass fittings” from Scotland - the box had been plastered with a huge bright yellow label - “Not for air”!
Gosh! Just think of the damage come evil rascal could inflict if he had these on a plane and was armed with a reloading press, “brass tubes”, 1k of Viht and squillions of primers.
Oh! And a rifle….

1. NI isn’t part of GB , GB only refers to the island of Scotland, England and Wales.
2. NI is part of the Uk
3. NI isn’t in the EU

When it comes to NI and the EU (which it is not part of) it gets a tad complicated….
“As of 2026, Northern Ireland (NI) occupies a unique "dual market" position, remaining part of the UK while following EU Single Market rules for goods under the Windsor Framework. This allows unrestricted trade with both the EU and Great Britain (GB), acting as a unique gateway for businesses.”.
Unfortunately many GB traders incl. RFDs think that this means NI is a foreign country and is subject to all sorts of customs nonsense….

Any UK RFD can ship to another UK registered dealer. Normally this only requires an exchange of licences between the two parties.
As previously explained by foxy, NI is part of the United Kingdom…despite the rumours.

Yip.. I'm. Sure foxyboy like myself has identified goods/equipment that we need.. Place the order only to get a phone call 3 days later with the usual "too much paperwork to ship to NI"

This must be the promised reduction in red tape the Brexiters promised…
