Pedantic sod It was very light due to the almost full moon ... better

No worries full moon on 31st with moon set at close to 4am so it's going to be v bright. Expecting lots of grass to be cut Thursday onwards so not ideal foxing conditions.

I've had some good results when its been a full moon (or between 93% and 100% ).

Generally tuck up under a hedge in the shade and try and make sure they don't get too close

Out last night.....roasting.....full moon...saw a few hares and a barn owl ..

Yes it was beautiful was it not! roasting..... but three quarter moon surley...... saw a few hares and rabbits and a roe doe came out of a small spiney saw me starred for quite a while then went off when she realised I was a human and she ought to go her own way. no fox about though.

You are a pedantic lot today....I apologise for being unaware of which sodding moon phase it was

I dont think it helped that there was no wind (well ... no noticeable wind in case anyone claims it was 3 mph from the east ) .

I love being out in a bright moon.
I use to use binos when I had just a red light and then an add on unit.
Just use the shadows.
Happy times.

30+ mph winds last night on the moor top, unable to keep steady behind the rifle on sticks so sacked it off at 11pm.
