Hikmicro pro hq50l ir fault?

I purchased a pair of hq50l binoculars from Scott county at the shooting show and recently I can’t get the ir to work. It definitely used to work, we have checked all the settings but no luck. Scott county have said that it’s not a fault they have encountered before and if we send it back to them they will have a look. I’m wondering if anyone else can shed some light on the problem before I send them back.
