Wildcat Evo on a .270 ?

Does anyone on SD use a Wildcat Evolution moderator on their .270 ? If so, how do you find it please.

My current (ancient) mod is overly heavy and spoils the balance of the rifle completely, but it works ....

I have an Evo on my .204, but I'm wondering if the mod has the volume to suck up what the .270 spits out ?

I use one on my 30-06 and it works just fine. Not a 270 but similar

I use one on .270 it works fine. Did debate a bit about getting something beefier but settled on the evo and not planning on changing. Does the job fine

UTS131 is third from the left - the Evos are on the right. 131g vs 430g

Have you thought of ASE SL5i ?
I have one on a 30-06 22" barrel and it handles well no muzzle heaviness.
Fit and forget ( just remove after each session clean threads and ensure its dry- job done )

Bloody hell...that shows the difference perfectly......amazed at how small the UTS 131 is...wow. Out of your vast collection which do you reckon is the quietest? Appreciate this is a personal call but very interested.

Probably the F&D UTS231 (third from the right). I use it on a .308 Sako but that's a heavy rifle already. However, whilst the UTS131 isn't as good sound reduction-wise as the UTS231, its half the weight. I don't usually take multiple shots so its a very good compromise of weight, sound reduction and impact on the rifle's handling.

Yes got one on my 270. Been good and also have an Evo on my 308. For scotland trips i also bought a Freyr for the 270 in an attempt to reduce weight of all kit

I have a F&D uts 281 on my 6.5 CM Creedmoor. Ridiculously quiet and weigh f all.

I have got one on my 7mm08 and really like it, I certainly rate it way above the dpt on my buddies 7mm08
