The out yesterday or today thread and...

That target is around 65 yds and is in a slope from my shooting position..which is about 1.5 metre high + shooting from my shooting bench mounted on top of my Landcruiser passenger seat..so almost 2.5 mt elevated position in total
Behind the target is huge mound of soil + piles of dead wood gathered over years so a perfect back stop👍😃
P.S here’s pic of my shooting bench 😎whilst I’m on Corvid control…🦊

We are a sensible bunch so need no to justify yourself to us mate. Only you know its safe to take a shot so crack on 👍

  Its usually me getting told off about something or other. The one good thing is you provide evidence which some on here (not naming names) are not very good at...I wont comment further as they will be rude to me 👍

I could do Mike - but the stoats shot this morning were with Steel No3 40 odd gram things and the mink i had was the same at about 4 yards in a tree
Not so much carcasses as smears !

Dunner worry lad.
Anyway, I had you down as a whipper snapper what with your fancy gadgetry!

Now i have 5 minutes

I was balsam bashing down the river - no gun just thick shirt and gloves and wellies sweating like a pig

I have only gone 200 / 300 yards when i got that hunters vibe of being watched - and up in a tree was this mink !

The gun was back in the cabinet at the yard half a mile away and i thought lets go get it - can only try - as our little brook is so dry i presumed - as it turns out correctly that this thing had made a kill or had found a pool with fish corralled in

So off i went - stalked back to the tree and it had gone - i waited though and 5 minutes later spotted it literally 5 yards above me in another tree ! The rest is messy !

We then had 2 poults killed overnight - and dragged to the fence side . pop holes - so i went for a walk about and managed to get 2 that had returned to feed !
