To be honest..This particular permission is in a sensitive area..Farmers on board with me using what ever is needed to be discreet!
I actually prefer my F.A.C Air rifle ..it’s extremely quite,cheap as chips and I can shoot up in trees with relative safety!

Spot on .... I hate hearing protection in whatever form (but I wear them for obvious reasons) so can see the advantage for you and everyone around in stealth. I was out with the shotgun tuesday morning and started shooting at 4.45 ...whilst the area is far from built up I do feel a slight tinge of guilt...albeit slight

I am sort of considering a hushpower .... but its justifying the expense.

Yes I’m with you on the shot gun with ear defenders..I hate them as as you say needs a must my ears just can’t stand them.
Now on my C/F .223 I do put them on but only when Charlie is within my shooting area
That’s when I always put them on for a single shot ..as that’s all Charlie needs as I keep my shooting range to around 50-90 yds.

I have some custom fit plugs but after about 3 hours my ears start to dislike them so its a bit of a swap with ear defenders.

I should wear them with the CF rifles as my .243 barks a bit more then I would like ...you know it when you shoot 2 or 3 ..same with the creed if you get a volly of 3 or 4 deer.

Well we don’t have any of the big deer species..Just the humble Munty which .223 handles just fine!

After dropping my Raw .25 Fac .,snapping it in 2 !!! !shockingly weak at the pistol grip!
Fortunately I’ve got a good mate who’s going to try and repair it again ..me being me insisted that he puts a solid metal plate underneath where the block sits in the channel and see what transpires!
On a lighter note ..I’ve got this Theoben Rapid Mk1 F&T laminated stock that he’s also reworked for my Raw .25 Fac HM1000x to get on with.
Here’s a couple of pictures from my car and on Farm in my favourite sitty tree taken this morning whilst I attended to some Corvid and Pigeon control under GL42

Why don't you just send the stock to nath off Airgunforum? You know he will do an excellent repair for sensible money.

Seen the buck a few more times since then once at a hair over 200 yards but he wasn't a fan of the vehicle and moved off, haven't seen him since but after being spooked he seems too take a few days too show himself.

Parked up and seen a fox on the skyline decided too give the roe call a few toots and ended up having a doe storming over the hill so that was pretty exciting! sadly not the buck!! and off course, the fox didnt care and slipped away too where the buck vanished lol

Seen a super young fox cub too in an entirely different area, really small.

47 assorted crow, jack's and rooks over barley so far, nearly out of cartridges...

Out the door now meself see if can take some long distance crows/magpies with the .222, dog fox from last night to use as bait, hopefully works as well as it did last time

2 Charlie’s last night

Went to the farm a little earlier than usual and got surprised the 1 st fox came in just as I had set up to double check my zero hence the pic is in a different palate.
Fox no 2 came in an hour later and was attracted and fixated to his downed chum!
