If you say so I suppose the deer arent out in the country ... but sure some morons would be complaining when little Johnny gets flattened after mummy and daddy took it to pet the fluffy wuffy little bambi. I think deer and any wild or semi wild animal should be shown a little more respect and the people approaching them should have a little more self awareness. If you want to feed and pet animals...go to a petting zoo.

Slightly different context but a guy I know was going to move some red deer (farmed so therefore "domesticated"). Red stag in with the 6 hinds and he hadnt had his antlers removed . The stag took exception to proceedings and killed all 6 hinds. By all accounts the stag gored the hinds and then threw them like rag dolls. Powerful animals.

Some plonker will try it as the rut approaches, get themselves ventilated (or worse) and the deer will then end up being shot because they were naughty. You can just see it unfolding. Lonely, ignorant people imagining that wild animals think like Disney educated humans. The balance is all wrong and the net loser is always the wildlife. Thanks Walt.
