It was horrendous to watch HJ. Started with numbness in his left arm. Took him 18 months to die. We were very close and i miss him terribly.

I feel your pain man. My friend lasted 24 months with specialist treatment in Germany and all sorts, but reality is, it’s incurable. Sadly. He was only 49. Left behind a wife and two young kids.
Heartbreaking.

My sister passed at 48 from pancreatic cancer (two months after my father), losing your best friends is hard. But, it gets easier! Losing friends and family has really made me realise how important it is to spend time with who
is left, kids, wife and just enjoy life!

I think having lost has made me a person I like seeing in the mirror due to appreciating life more.

I have had really good service from the NHS recently. I had a persistent cough from Christmas all through to February. Had an x-ray and they have seen at least 4 possible fractures in my vertebrae. Every NHS person I have seen since asks me the same question - when did you have your back accident????? I have never had a back issue!!! MRI scan tomorrow evening.

What annoys me about the NHS is it isn't national - your records don't seem to be available nationwide. Everybody says the NHS is understaffed - it's the 5th largest employer. IN THE WORLD!!!! How is that understaffed???????!!! In a country that is about the 21st largest in the world. About 75% of it's £187bn budget per year is spent on salaries. I think it is OVER staffed in the multi layers of management

That records thing is pretty surprising (and insane). You guys don't have the MyChart app in the UK? We use it here, and it allows sharing of medical records between providers, and the patient controls what is shared with who.

It's a standard thing here, and allows a patient's records to follow them, not which ever hospital did whatever treatment.

Sounds like NHS needs a DOGE department.
