That seems like backward step when pard & alpex pro have gone to familiar side focus.
I don't think it is personally . Others might disagree, front focus is fully ambidextrous, although that doesn't concern me. The main benefit why I prefer front focus, is it's much more accurate to focus the image, you have a much larger diamter focus adjustment, so you can fine tune easier, I alway fit a throw lever also . Where as a top or side focus a lot would prefer, but you have a much smaller diameter focus adjustment, so it's easy to over shoot or more fiddly to get in focus.
Also with a digital scope I prefer the digital zoom on the turrets, not at the back of the scope. They are cumbersome, your right hand is ready next to the trigger so you dont want to remove it, then with your left hand you have to reach back towards your eye to zoom in for the shot and then reach back to zoom back out, in theory they sound great but in practice not so.. Turret zoom is right near your hand holding the stock or sticks, you can keep hold and still adjust up and down..
These manufactuers are focusing too much on making everything like an optical scope, when the beauty of digital, is you can put these controls in more easily accessible locations.
