I need to rewire my LightForce :( where is a recommended place to buy the coiled extention lead from? For those that have done it, anything to be careful of?

Thank You

CEF there's one in Elgin and Inverness ,or CV components harbour road Inverness or try Highland Industrial supplies sea field road

TJ It's probably cheapest to buy a ready made up ciggy lighter extension cable & chop it to suit your needs - That way you'll end up with some spare connectors.

I rewired one with .75mm2 flex and did away withe coiled wire as it was doing my napper in.
The flex seems to rattle less when moving the lamp and hangs better if on foot, not flapping as much if there is a bit of a blow on the go either.
always an option if you have no luck with the coil

this may help you out feller
try DEBAN £8 odd for flex for tracer 2mt (0)1394 387762 or any mapplin electronics store i replace mine with hoover flex and will not over heat :thumb:

TJ what size bulb is in your lamp? 10 Amps @ 12 Volts = 120Watts. Aren't most lamps 55 Watts? Mine are!
55 Watts @ 12 Volts is less than 5 Amps. - Plenty of 5 Amp leads on't Fleabag.

Tried HIS, no joy, tried Maplin, only 3 amp capacity. Going to give curlyflexdirect.com tomorrow and see if they will knock me one up.
