Anyone done a 'one for one' rimmie to centerfire?

could i swap an open slot for .25fac air for a .270 or .308 for free.....

Yes why not. As regards the 12 bore slug that doesn't have to be shot through a FAC shotgun and the ammunition isn't a firearm, you only pay when you increase the number of firearms. Have you thought about just using the slug in a non FAC shotgun?

yes i know its just if im getting it done may aswell get it all at once ...so slug has its own slot as does the fac shotgun so i will have to pay for one i suppose.... how are they for granting slug for target and boar. do i need club membership and booked days for boar.... i have land to shoot so targetry work would be coverd.....fac shotgun is for crop protection....

The use of slug for target shooting is perfectly acceptable within a club so long as the club has suitable range facilities. With regard to target shooting the NRA is the national body for target shotgun which should not be confused with practical shotgun for which the police in my area have always insisted on membership of the United Kingdom Practical Shooting Association.
Not quite sure what you mean by "i have land to shoot so targetry work would be coverd" you can't simply go target shooting on open land.

yup i was a ukpsa team member shot all over the uk and euro and usa SA the lot when it was a real shooting club, when i left and cos hand guns were banned i had my slug removed as i was not shooting slug matches any more ,i was told bisly did not let anyone use slug on its ranges .i have only just this week got slug back as i'v requested it for running boar practice ready for end year in poland, but i had to have a boar shoot booked and paid for in uk to get it ? Buy the way i do belong to The Grove so i can shoot slug at stanta mod battle ranges at steel knock down targets ??Before that i was a member of the Range Officers Ass who shoot at the same ranges i did't get why i could not still have the slug anymore , but a new toy came out of it hay ho rem 1187 18 shot for a nice s/h 338 AI 1- 4- 1 worked for me :D but now can't wait for that pig shoot as iam going out with I Farrington later this year :thumb:

I finally got around to talking to my FEO today and no problem with changing a .22lr to .243 even though the lr is on a borrowed condition.

Better still he said this time next year they'll open up both rf and cf as long as I don't shoot someone as they like to see you have them for 3 years without incident at Cambs firearms.

1 for 1, rimfire rifle to centre fire rifle, thats an easy one
I just did .22 rimfire moderator to 7.62x39 bolt action rifle, not fazed at all, just "yup no problem" :-D

Neil. :)

That's really interesting this thread i stay up in scotland so if I've got a sound moderator on my firearms certificate I could do a 1 for 1 variation for another calibre of rifle.
