You may or may not be aware that there are two, one day, Rifle training courses being run by the Deer Initiative in conjunction with Cumbria Woodlands and the BDS North West Branch at the branch range at Grayrigg, Cumbria.
The dates of the courses are the 16th and 17th March 2013 - thats this coming weekend!
This course will look at gun fit, marksmanship principles, zeroing, range estimation, wind judging and different shooting positions. There will be the opportunity to put into practice the entire above out on the range.
The instructor will be Bradley Bourner who is a marksman and instructor in the Royal Marine Commandos
I understand there are spaces left on the sunday course (17th march)
Should anyone be interested in participating, you will need to contact Alistair Boston from the Deer Initiative at the above e -mail address northwest@thedeerinitiative.co.uk on work mobile 07855 606877
You will also need 60 rounds for the day, a rifle, FAC, insurance etc.
The cost of the day is £60
I'm booked on the sunday and I guarantee no matter how experienced a shot you are, you will learn something pertinent to deer management
