Rabbit prices

I went out last week and shot 14 rabbits with the shotgun, took them to the game dealer and got £2.50 in the skin.

Where was that?
worth the drive!

Coupla places were paying that. Shaws at Dobbies Knowes farm shop. And tbh, if you had rabbits you could ask anyone for what you want. most places flog them at a fiver a pop with teh skin still on, so it`s all high demand profit.

Just moved up from Cornwall, where i was getting £1.10, to Lincolnshire where I have been offered 75p. One a bit further out is offering a quid, but too far to drive for extra. And I thought Cornishmen were supposed to be the tight ones. In Cornwall I was shifting around 30-50 a week, would have loved the £2.50 plus some of you are lucky enough to get!

Resurrection of an old post.
I've just been granted permission to shoot on a farm with a massive rabbit problem and will be able to shoot far more than I can use myself or give away to friends. In order to sell to a game dealer or butcher is it necessary to have a small game hygeine ticket or something similar? I do have a DSC1 but that probably counts for very little here.
Thanks.

Rabbits thick like flies.

Three "no"s in a row from the local butchers last week, two said try again later, they'll all buy cash no questions if you don't have the lantra certificate, one old boy offered £1.50 each dressed (thanks and **** off).

Freezer full, family, friends, neighbours sorted, must have buried 100 this week.

Shot 39 one evening last week.
No takers- not even any interest:???:, so they got bagged and dumped in the council landfill - and probably do the same with the next evenings' shooting
