new ford ranger or new isuzu D-max?

A friend of mine tested the amarok auto and hated it, it kept changing when he didn't want it to. Not even seen in one myself so haven't a clue but the Isuzu feedback seems to be very good.

Just buy a skip gaj cause that's how it's going to look anyway! Lol Isuzu or Hilux the new Ranger looks like it should have power rangers driving it.

I have specced mine to be a close second, and for less money! I bought a full length box from TransK9 and then put a ply floor over it, then a plasters bath for the carcasses. The Huntsmen one does have extra little drawers to the rear of the wheel arches but thats the only real difference, from a storage point of view and I don't need a ramp and winch is invariably I only shoot Roe or Fallow.

Mine isn't green but to be honest I really don't think that makes a difference, I don't need to hide it and the deer don't seem to mind going in the back!

The only thing I'd like to do to mine is de-bling the mirrors and grille, but I'll get round to that, I ordered it with black 17" alloys, which was a mistake as they only have one size to fit it in off road pattern, so bit of a sellers market. I'd go for black alloys again, but on 16" rims.

I have a 3.2l Ranger.Purchased from new, now 16 months old with 50k miles on the clock. No mechanical problems to date. Was really underwhelmed by the power/torque, so had a chip made for it by Racechip in Germany, this increase power by 30-40 % and fuel consumption by 15 %. Spoke to Ford yesterday about adding a 3.2 Wildtrak to our fleet…. 12-15 month wait !!!

Regards

Ed

Had my Yukon over twelve month 14000 mile and not a blip , untill the wife reversed into the wheelie bin and cracked a rear lense £140.00 oh she will suffer .

ive been in the motor trade selling 4x4 and top end stuff for 28 years

if you want imho the isuzu without doubt is the best the are going to be be the new best 4x4 when toyota finishes the hilux in 2016

We have two new Mk5 Rangers on the estate and both work really hard. One is the base XLT and mine is the far more plush Limited. We have had no problems with them, they go anywhere with decent tires are comfortable and the 2.2 is really powerful.

We used the NGO discount which gave us 14.5% on the Limited and 12% on the XLT (plus NGO don't keep a % for themselves unlike an other organisation who offer members rates)!

Both the woodsman and I are really happy with the trucks and I am a full time keeper so it does do a lot of work.

Xlt with canopy and load liner and tow bar £19750+ vat. Isuzu d-max eigar with same £19785 +vat ranger here in 3 weeks and dmax 5 weeks. Not sure what to do.

I am sure both trucks will do consider any warranty work that may need doing you never know! some dealers don’t give a toss once they have your money .
After sales service could be deciding factor
Hear is mine 11 days on (any one know how to remove the stickers i know its 4x4 )

uncle has a construction firm where they ran a fleet of navara's. They have also experimented with the d-max Cannot comment on the ford ranger but their chief mechanic has had the d-max in 3-4 times in its first year ( admitadly it has done a high mileage of 30k+). The navara's he said where a good car but a bad truck, too soft. They only run toyota hilux's now and he cannot fault them. High mileage, dogs abuse and no problems, Hilux everytime.

Of too look at a pre reg invincable tomorrow at same price as the rest!

i just ordered a new invincible i have one every three years , without leather and sat nav a dealer through the BASC scheme quoted me £22,590 including vat on the road , i went to my local dealer to get a quote and it was considerably more so i produced my first quote and they matched it !!
just remember the resale value of any used hilux is considerably more than all the other makes of the same age condition etc.
