Be nice to think that if its 'yes' that we would get our handguns back.
That is low way too low!
Have you been learning from the Westminster politicians?

Na still no currency to pay for it
Got a degree in Politics so perhaps you are on the right track.

Absolutely correct, Aberdeen would become a rather more depressing hole than it is already; however I just don't understand why no 'Yes' supporters will appreciate that Sir Ian Wood actually knows more about extracting hydrocarbons than Alex Salmond, he said last night that, in his estimation, there is fifteen years viable exploration left in the north sea then the decline will start.
Are people that much in denial or is it that when you know enough people who actually work in the industry you get the facts..... Expertise can and does move frequently in the oil industry.
You cannot vote on prospective oil recoveries alone is all I'm saying.
The one and only reason that Westminster wants us to stay together is oil revenue - pure and simple
The voice of reason.
Read the above and change the record. The UK Government, for all their legion other faults, take notice of people like Sir Ian Wood even if Scottish Nats do not. The OBR commissions reports from precisely such industry experts and advises the Government accordingly on the results. England is not obsessed with North Sea oil. Its just you. It is small change down the back of the sofa.
clearly didnt major in diplomacy.....
Clearly not. This may have started when listening to the 1993 7's world cup crowd at Murrayfield cheer on every team that took to the park against England. We can pretend that its all good hearted banter....but we know its not.

Jeez, you sound Scottish with that chip.........
To bring Dunblane into this discussion is shameful, and short-sighted given Michael Ryan, Raol Moat, Michael Atherton Derrick Bird and the others that could have had all guns banned by their actions........they weren't Scots!!
Why are you all so desperate to keep us together if there is nothing we can offer?
If you think it's going to be that bad for us and there is nothing here for you then let us go.
You have given us no other reason to stay - apart from it's going to be bad for us!!!

Jeez, you sound Scottish with that chip.........
Sport is tribal, surely you know that. Go to any club footie match and hear them wanting to kill each other....and then working in the same office quite happily on Monday morning.
It is generally a fallacy that the Scots "hate" the English, its only small minded people that think the English deserve our contempt. With your attitude, you could be an honorary Scot though. If you can see that we are that opinionated and that you are not going to change us then let's us go or is it that you can't?
Lucky Eddie, Im not Desperate for you to stay, maybe the best thing for you would be to take your oil and enjoy it while it lasts.

I know, sorry mate. As well as wanting to vent my distaste at the insensitivity and crassness of the comment, I always wanted to point out the one incident in Scotland is vastly outnumbered by the number of unforunate episodes south of the border.
Last comment from me.....hopefully! lol
Howa, I have many English friends whom I like very much, I like individuals known to me not nations. That makes no sense to me whatsoever. i dont mind whether the vote is yes or no tbh, and it wont change my views of neighbouring countries either way.
But that's the thing if oil runs out for us it runs out for all of us if we are part of the UK.
If they say it runs out in 15 years for Britain then it should last a bit longer for us.
I asked earlier what happens when oil runs out for all?
Why will it be any different when it runs out for all
