A friend and I are in the very fortunate position where soon I will be able to buy whole new set ups. Looking to buy 4 x Tikka T3 lites (2 x .223 and 2 x .270), moderators and 4 Swarovski scopes. having always brought second hand, private sale rifles before.... Where is the best place to buy from? Been looking on the websites of the main shops but didn't know if anyone had any specific recommendations? To keep the thread on track I am looking for where to buy not feedback on what I am buying :)! Thanks. Luke

Thanks Bewsher, I am fear not!!! Just trying to get an idea of what we should be able to get them for though, or a starting point at least! Thanks. Luke

Hi Luke, try Southfield Sporting at Frome, Somerset - I know its not in your area but nor mine! Did me a good deal on a .308 T3 Lite package.
Cheers
Chris

Hello,

If you were to send me a list with the exact specs you want i could come back to you with a price.

Thanks, Oscar

Swillington shooting supplies. They will do a cracking deal on an order like that, particularly the Swarovski glass.

Yorkie.

forest lodge in lincolnshire carried a good range of tikka rifles when i got mine from them and did a good deal

Try Martin at the countryman derby don't think you get much price difference on the rifles as gmk sets the prices but you will get varied scope prices and he's good on that front there's a 270 sako on here at right money

Again, I would agree with a couple of the others and say make the trip to Wragby and visit Forest Lodge, you won't recieve better customer service anywhere.

John Bradshaw's Gunshop. They are near Oundle, so not far from you. Marcus is the boss and you wont get better customer service anywhere. Marcus or Iain on 01832 226376 and you wont be disappointed.

I can vouch for North Allerton, not only great deal and good friendly service but also really nice chaps who gave me sound advice and opinion not just based on getting my cash and by no means patronising. Excellent. Oh and I live in the Cotswolds and was still cheaper to drive up and back to get my new set up by a chunk. Even took my rifle to a local gunshop who said I should have come to them so I had them quote me and they were over £200 above on the rifle alone.

I'll second the above good folk to deal with.
Regards
Jimmy
if you can get them to acknowledge you when you walk in-get them out of the papers-wake them up especially on a weekend after too much ale- get vic to actually sound human -then you may have some luck getting what you want!the shop imo has gone down the pan in the last 5yrs.i have shopped there for 20yrs dont go anymore!
