I would totally agree about the stock, I'm a walnut lover myself, especially on a lever gun. I'll be testing for reliability, accuracy and groupings as always however I just wanted input from others like yourself on first thoughts or if anybody has used one. Thank you for the input.
Interesting rifle very similar to their .45-70 BoreBuster that I tested last year. Has a threaded barrel, vertical/horizontal adjustable cheek riser and I was wondering if anybody on this site has used one for target shooting or hunting. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
While I'm not a huge fan of the modernized lever actions, Ruger/Marlin did a fine job of delivering on this new Dark model (the first of more models & calibers to come). Some new things like the nitride finish on the bolt and lever to reduce wear actually make for a smoother action. I especially...

Let me know what you think and if any...

Today (October, 16 2021) is the 161'st anniversary of the first lever action repeating rifle. Benjamin Tyler Henry received his patent on this date in 1860. The rifle that every lever action rifle since has been based upon. To say this was a big day in history is to understate the significance...
