3 chaps at my club shoot 300WM RPRs not sure which gen they. The rifles are very heavily built. They look like 338s. Their groups seem to be very tight and they have all hit a mile at Orion with no issues.

They are round and they are designed to swivel so a bipod leg would flop about.

I have a Delta 2.5-15x56 A great scope but have 2 issues 1. Side focus turret is very stiff. 2. Eye box at the top end is fussy in my opinion. But that being said I like it and wont part with it. Eddie
