You are quite right. Otter and wildcat are on the list of animals requiring a license. However, as I understood it, the authority issuing such licenses would not issue them for otters and wildcats. Much the same as them not giving licenses to shoot buzzards, despite there being provision for...

Sad but true! I have a badger sporran I made about 1991 from a badger I picked up off the A41 on nights, and an otter one made about 2005 by Janet Eagleton, Murthly, from an otter I sadly hit on the A93. Licenses in the post. I'll put some photys on later
