  1. 308 choices

Go for the Benelli Lupo ,wood or synthetic they're both excellent. Or better still get a blaser k95 and you'll never have to change rifles again just get another barrel if you desire.!!
  2. 7x57 - the grand cartridge dedicated reloading thread, - let's help each other! :)

Winchester 760 / H 414 or the equivalent powders you can obtain in the UK will get you the best velocity in the 7 x57 . Been reloading with hornady 139 interlock, Sierra pro hunter with this powder for years it just works. Good for the heavier pills as well 160s. Primers in my experience...

The first baffle after the thread is not removable. Hose clips with a bit of tyre tube inside will do the job but there are purpose made clamps for the job
  5. Pack upgrade and boot replacement – need advice

Have a look at Exo mountain packs out of the states and Lowa Tibet boots both high quality and will last for a long time. Zamberlan boots also very good, I have a pair of these very comfortable.
  6. Suggested copper for 308

Barnes 130 ttsx absolutely awesome projectile in .308, drive them as fast as you can, there's no upper limit on velocity for these projectiles. I've been using them for years.
  7. Kipplauf advice- K95/ K3&4 etc?

Hi , I'm using 748 Winchester but that is getting hard to get regularly, 2206 would I think give similar results. Tac powder is also very good in the 308 with light projectiles. 3150 fps was easy to get and that's not a max charge.
  8. Kipplauf advice- K95/ K3&4 etc?

Seeing as you're reloading Barnes ttsx 150, I'd suggest trying 130 ttsx in your rifle, with that long barrel you'll get some smoking velocity and they perform on everything. I've been using them for 10 plus years and don't intend to change in my .308

  12. Swarovski Z3 opinions/alternatives

I have three Z3 scopes, two 3 - 10 x42 and one 4-12 x50 dial up. All are excellent, great glass ,lightweight , and a pleasure to use and carry. I have the 4A reticle on the 3-10s and duplex on the 50mm, the 4A I find is so easy to use especially as your eyes get older I found I needed a...
