DPT. Moderator

There are clamps available for tight ones, different sizes for mark1 and mark2, I think. Need to be tightened, put on the floor and trod on!

Flatliners solution is the best and cheapest.
This grease is the only one that works for me with DPT moderators.

Hi
Any advice on removing the baffles without causing any damage.
I can remove all but one.
I wouldn't bother trying to take it to bits, just leave as is. Sometimes the O rings dont go back as they were so you end up worse of than when you started!

I've been talking it apart for three years and it goes back just fine👍
If you have been dismantling it, you will know that all you can see inside the base is the barrel thread. My first baffle is the stainless one.
The MKII has a slightly smaller outside diameter.

Never found the need to dismantle a mod, they work perfectly fine if left alone, infact, they're often alot quieter if left alone. Last one i had was 15yr old and never cleaned once.
I don't bother taking my centrefire mods apart for cleaning anymore either. They don't really get that dirty.
My 22 rimfire mod gets stripped and cleaned regularly as they do get very dirty inside.

It a personal choice, some clean some don't. I also clean my rifle after each outing.
I will say that my mod does get a black coating inside, weather it's detrimental I don't know. It's just a routine I do, clean rifle clean mod.
