  2. magtech large rifle primers

In Feb before this all blew up it was £45/1000 for LR and £28/1000 for SR, so I'd say £80 is probably about right given the problems. In fact, if the OP were to tell us where, there would probably be a number of people setting off to purchase.....:)
  3. magtech large rifle primers

Every gun/bullet/powder combination is different, I'd probably get different results in a different calibre, (that was 6.5mm). I'm sure they will all work well in some combination!
  4. Brass cleaning

I know you should never read the manual but mine says the max runtime is 1 hr. I only ran it for 30 minutes max as after that the cases went dull, probably due to the combination of citric acid and temperature, but nope, never got the primer pockets as clean as wet tumbling does. It's...
  5. magtech large rifle primers

I bought 5K large and 5K small earlier this year, the LR were about half the price you are paying but times have changed. Anyway, nothing wrong with them, they work fine and I've been getting tight groups. I think £80/100 is cheap for primers at the moment and I don't think you will regret...
  6. Brass cleaning

Got all three types, the ultrasound was good and quick, if you heat the bath to 70C, it doesn't take long to get really shiny cases, with a tiny bit of citric acid, but I never got the primer pockets really clean. Switched to a cheepo Vevor tumbler with hot water and the same half teaspoon of...
  7. Home made case lube

I use the Lee case lube, 1 part lube, 4 parts water and 4 parts isopropyl alcohol to make 550ml. Put it in a spray bottle and spray into a bag containing cases, then agitate, remove and let air dry before sizing. £5 of Lee lube and £5 of alcohol will make enough to last for a couple of years...
  8. GRT Update

That is odd, I tried exporting the profile for you but it wouldn't let me!
  9. Chronograph

I have a cheap Caldwell and an airgun FX radar which I use for .22LR. I use a LabRadar which I hire from the range office at Bisley for £15 a session. Took a couple of sessions to figure it out but once done, works reliably now.
  10. Another reloading what to buy thread

Bit of a can of worms and budget dependant I bought Lee everything for my 4 calibres, .223, 6.5, 5.5 and .303. I was purely neck sizing with the Lee collet dies but every now and again they stick internally and you end up crushing a case. It was also very tough to get consistent neck tension...
  11. Chargemaster Lite - practical review

Another link user, it's great, I set the weight with my phone and it just trundles on.
  12. Split Case?

I've seen the same with 6.5CM S&B factory rounds on first firing. I doubt it was you, most likely a weakness in the brass
  13. The end of lead = the end of 22LR?

It will certainly deter the casual target shooter but club shooters are already paying 13p a round for SK Rifle Match, 19p a round for Lapua Center-X and 26p a round for Tenex. If non-lead ammo comes in at 20p a round I think most club shooters will continue and buy it for outdoors. I suppose...
  14. 'Period Dignity Officer'

Really well said. I support a charity that helps provide period products in developing countries and it shames me that (a) we cannot manage it in our own country and (b) people think it's something wokeist to take the **** about. Some of you really need to grow up, those are our sisters, wives...
  15. Wet tumbling.

I save the water that comes out of my air conditioner and rinse in that, it helped but the cases just were not shiny enough, cutting back on the citric, (I was using a tablespoon!) fixed the problem.
