Yea I’m not sure they’re supposed to do that…
My 243 shoots the Winchester factory 85gr copper really well which while I’ve not chrono’d it should be around 3260fps minus 2inches.
If I can get it performing to a similar speed (3200) and get the apparent advanced knockdown power the TTSX brings...
I’ve got a pard 007 which I’ll use on my S&B precision hunter. It’s not perfect. The better quality glass doesn’t seem to like IR the spectrum. You’ll have days when you can’t see a thing and days it’s perfect, but that’s all NV really, it’s just quite extreme with the pard.
If you have flip up...
Thanks I forgot about the attached until after I’d worked up a load, and was going off the Hornady data for their 80gr CX which you think would be similar, which has its max load at 45.4gr on Superformance.
Just cross checked the Hornady and the Barnes data posted on the other thread, and the Hornady seems a little reserved in comparison. I’ll probably find the current loads a little underwhelming but I’ll double check.
What powder are you using?
The Hornady Manual has all powders topping out at 3200. I’ve loaded up 5 test batches but haven’t yet put them over a chrono. My goal is to be getting over 3200 with a 22 inch barrel.

Not in itself that impressive, but the gun was made in 1906, has had minimal maintenance its entire life (oil and...
Thanks, I’ll look into one of those if it works on the PRC as well.
I found another old 308 funnel which I sawed the end off like Ed suggested as an interim measure.
To resurrect an old thread, I’ve just this with my 7mmPRC powder everywhere…
Before I go down this route does anyone know of one that just fits? I’ll have to lose about 5mm off the funnel as the shoulder gets in the way.
