Powder funnel for wide cases

I have acquired a 7 SAUM and my usual powder gunners won’t fit over the case I would be most grateful if someone could recommend a funnel that would work

Im a bit confused as the neck of the 7mm case will surely be similar to other 7mm cases so any " universal " funnel should work. My RCBS fits over a 338 neck without difficulty

My funnel has a tube on the underside which will slide over a case to allow it to sit upright, on the SAUM case it won’t therefore only some of the powder goes in. It sounds like the rcbs one will do all cases

I use Satern cartridge-specific funnels, rather than the universal ones. Satern do a 7mm/.284 version.

To resurrect an old thread, I’ve just this with my 7mmPRC powder everywhere…
Before I go down this route does anyone know of one that just fits? I’ll have to lose about 5mm off the funnel as the shoulder gets in the way.

I had forgotten about this thread, get a Forster funnel with long drop tube. The flared end fits over the case neck and this works well. Bear in mind you have to physically hold it for each charge rather than it just sitting on the case neck

Thanks, I’ll look into one of those if it works on the PRC as well.

I found another old 308 funnel which I sawed the end off like Ed suggested as an interim measure.

The Satern funnels are excellent. Obviously more expensive than the universal type, but won't break the bank.

take your case to halfords and try it on their funnels 40 pence each i bought 6

There is a fix there, heat the base of the funnel with a hot air gun. Push the 7PRC case inside and the funnel will flare to size.
I drew and printed a funnel to work with my PRC cases. If you have a 3D printer it'd be a handy solution.
