  1. Wanted: .416 Rigby Projectiles & Cases

Hello, Just wondering if anyone has either of the above sitting around that they'd be happy to part with? I am not keen on nickel plated brass, but any once fired (or new) good quality stuff considered! Thank you Sam
  2. Deer training proposals risk leaving Scotland short of vital deer managers

I personally don’t agree that’s it’s in the interest of members at all. It’s easier, but from a deer management point of view I think mandatory training (and better training) is part of the way forward. I think BASC does some good work, but sadly the deer sector is very reluctant to look...

  4. Deer training proposals risk leaving Scotland short of vital deer managers

  6. Deer training proposals risk leaving Scotland short of vital deer managers

I think mandatory training is only a good thing, the majority of people shooting deer are in need of upskilling. Sadly I also think we will never had a reasonable discussion about it at a lobbying level as the likes of BASC are too afraid of losing members to look at anything negative objectively.

  10. Red stag stalking, costs?

I’d have thought the average will be around £800 this season. Some places (like us) tie the stalking to a lodge let and so are a bit cheaper, despite using garrons where we can and generally (I would hope) working pretty hard to make sure people have a great experience. If there’s no...

  12. Wanted: David Lloyd Rifle

Thanks all, I appreciate the advice, not that it’s relevant. I am fortunate to make a living with a rifle, and I understand all of the functional reasons not to own a Lloyd rifle, but there’s very few functional reasons to sail a boat rather than just motor about… I still like sailing...
  13. Wanted: David Lloyd Rifle

I’m interested in looking for one of DL’s rifles. Calibre and spec wise I’m open to all, but ideally in good or better condition. Please message if you have or know of something, thank you. If it matters, I’m looking to use it for its original purpose and it will be cherished. Best, Sam
  14. Tell me again why public access stalking isn’t a viable option

I’ve put a lot of time into arguing for and trying to come up with solutions that combine public access to stalking and good deer management. I can tell you right now that the situation at Loch Choire, or actually any situation where there are “issues” like this with deer culling is not the...
