I am not keen on nickel plated brass, but any once fired (or new) good quality stuff considered!

I personally don’t agree that’s it’s in the interest of members at all. It’s easier, but from a deer management point of view I think mandatory training (and better training) is part of the way forward.
I think BASC does some good work, but sadly the deer sector is very reluctant to look...
I think mandatory training is only a good thing, the majority of people shooting deer are in need of upskilling.
Sadly I also think we will never had a reasonable discussion about it at a lobbying level as the likes of BASC are too afraid of losing members to look at anything negative objectively.

I’d have thought the average will be around £800 this season. Some places (like us) tie the stalking to a lodge let and so are a bit cheaper, despite using garrons where we can and generally (I would hope) working pretty hard to make sure people have a great experience.
