I’d guess loud!Maybe not more so than .270 / 30 06 etc though as, while powerful, not as fast?
Sounds much nicer with black powdernot as fast but a lot of powder going bang and it's a v large bullet breaking the speed of sound
You can adjust the #1 so the case is extracted but just sits there in the action waiting for you to pick it out.I admit I’m a little anal about catching brass even when hunting but over the years I’ve become quite efficient at catching fired brass from a lever action or bolt action . It took a bit to be proficient and quick with a #1 but can be done and actually you can be better at it than ever assumed . If you care little about saving brass it’s all a moot point and quickness comes a lot faster . Just saying !
Not if you add a 3rd option:There’s only one choice
No1

I had one of those (Common or garden one) in 243 calibre. Not if you add a 3rd option:

I had a very similiar rifle . Mine started out as a standard model octagon barreled 45/70 B78 . I ordered a sporter stock like the one above from Browning after I got got tired of being beat up by the straight stocked , cresent steel butt plate on the original rifle . It transformed the rifle and made it far more pleasant to shoot . It shot consistently under one MOA with most ammo , and just over .5 MOA with ammo it liked . Unfortunately , university tuition fees for my oldest took priority over keeping it . The B78s were a far better finished rifle than the No 1 and 3 Rugers . Strangely , they sell for less than the Rugers ( both used that is ) around here . The Wickliffe 76 rifles ( a fourth option ) sell for considerably more , if you can find one that is , they're getting increasingly harder to find . A friend of mine is getting up in years and is contemplating selling off his hunting rifles . He has a B78 45/70 and a 7mm RM version , I have dibs on both .................. but that would be greedy ................. or would it ?Not if you add a 3rd option:
