Free: Tough Decision. I need to re-home my dog.

I have a 5 year old GWP Lab cross. He's a good dog, trained to track deer using the Paul Michaels method, although I don't get out stalking anywhere near as much as I'd like these days. I'm having a few family issues at the moment and the dog is part of the problem. I'm really busy with work and can't take him with me most of the time, so he stays home with my wife, she has never liked dogs and has put up with mine for the last 20 years or so. It't become a real issue recently however.
He is obedient (for me) not for my wife as she would never engage with the training. That's a problem obviously! I am hoping to have something of a career change in the not too distant future which will involve a fair bit of traveling I can't leave the dog with my wife for weeks at a time and putting him in kennels feels mean, (and expensive). I am hoping to find another stalker who would like a trained deer indicating dog and would use and look after him as I have for the last 5 years.
He's ok in the house although he drops a lot of hair (one of my wife's bugbears) He's good with people and kids, I hesitate to say he's good with cats, we have two and he's fine with them but any other cat appears to be fair game..
He's a lively soul as you'd expect for the breed, needs plenty exercise, very soft natured and friendly, loves to rest his wet beard on your leg as soon as you sit down, and rolls on his back for attention whenever he feels he isn't getting any.

Please get in touch if you are interested and ask away with any questions.. I'm based in SE Scotland...

Sorry to read this. I'm also in SE Scotland and would take him on in a flash but my wife flatly refuses to have a second dog.
I already have a 6.5 yo lab who would really love the company of a housemate!

There was a guy on here just the other day asking for a dog, even though he mentioned a spaniel cross, this fella might be a fit, if he was used to being kenneled I'd take him as you're probably just over the border from me
