Wanted: Part or fully trained dog for an old gentleman on our shoot

I pick up with a lovely old boy who's bounced back through Cancer and all sorts. He lost a lab 2 years ago and sadly his only one has now got a terminal illness.
I am putting the feelers out for a dog for him.
Does not need to be FT standard, anything part trained or that has not made the grade for someone.
Just a steady dog that will run out and retrieve for him. He doesn't need to do stops, directions etc. I normally place him on the end of the line and he is very helpful.
It will live indoors and be part of a loving home.
Based on Suffolk/Essex border, ideally a black lab but all dogs/bitches considered.

Be wary as to why someone is getting rid of the dog. The old boy may have get his running shoes on, or wear hearing protectors.
