I doubt if one could argue that the 'basic panel' checkering is ordinary. Simplicity can be perfect

did you look at the checkering options in the website? They seem perfectly adequate to me.

From memory Parkwest bought out Dakota Arms when Remington went belly up.

The same ingredients put together by the same quality smith as a custom build will cost a quarter or less than that price..

Its the H&H on the barrel that one is paying the premium for of course.

Bit like my mate with his multi thousand dollar Bretons when I send him pics of my half bred pointers on point in the field on quail. He doesn't answer ha ha.

I wasn’t trying to pick a fight. I was just surprised wrap around wasn’t standard, or at least that they wouldn’t chose to show it on the example model as its a major differentiator between a modern of the shelf and something more classic. I do like the Dakota falling block, lovely proportions, and nice wraparound checkering on the forend!
