I think a lot of people dont see this show for what it is, this show isnt about buying stuff per say, its more of Expo show where all the major brands/vendors can show their latest and greatest under one roof.

Same anywhere in the world. If you wanted to view say 10x thermals you would be driving to say 7x different gun shops that after phoning had one or two in stock, add up the time and fuel bill. The shows have a function but if all the exhibitors got together and rented the whole complex for the week and offered free to low price entry high enough to keep the tyre kickers away it could be a new way to exhibit.
The old Pistol Anno Domini shows at Bisley never used to charge admission to the show.
It’s a day out. Of course it’s going to cost you. Try getting a ticket for any major sporting event and compare the prices. If you go there and enjoy yourself to any degree looking at stuff and people that interests you then don’t expect much more. The days of retailers carting all their slow selling wares there to flog off cheaply are history. They can do that easier on t’internet these days. As they say: You can’t get owt for nowt.
