Vacancy: Chatsworth

It is extremely public but there are plenty of areas away from the public gaze on the estate with deer on, not just the main park in front of the house. I shot over Chatsworth land for years and went out with Rob last year and had a couple of fallow - if I wasn’t moving to New Zealand I’d be half tempted!

I recently stalked around that area quite amazing the amount of red deer we encountered luckily in jan minimal public but footpaths everywhere.

It was a permanent position, the wording was annualised salary which basically means you work a given number of hours per annum.

I too would be interested to see who got the job as I did apply and got a thanks but no thanks 2 days after the closing date.
And I will blow my own trumpet and say I was a very good candidate for the role (95% of the job description Is my CV. And the experience to back it up) so I was surprised I dineven get to interview stage.

Im watching this with some interest, I worked for the group for a good number of years as a stalker/ranger but on a different estate. Theres been some hellish investment into the forestry department there after it just scratched along for years and I imagine, like lots of forestry company's, they've realised the real money is in growing trees not shooting deer.
The head forester there would best be described as highly driven, ive not met many such determined individuals, make no mistake it wouldn't be a lifestyle role!

I'm well aware of what the role entails as I've been in the same sort of role before, so I do hope whoever gets it is also aware that it's not gonna be a walk in the park.

Maybe you didn't meet alllll the requirements @monarman

Possible they are looking to meet certain quotas.
