Very worried and it’s a Sunday

Can’t phone up licensing because it is a Sunday!! But I got my license both SGC and FAC not long ago, I have purchased my a 12 gauge, my 6.5cm and .22lr. I went along to go join my local shoot today they wanted to see my license. Older guys been at it a long time so I’m taking there word as gospel

But all I have is the paperwork of my acquired guns which I took photos of which includes all info and serial numbers sent to the police as per there instruction. But the people at the shoot were telling me I’m not authorised to own them because they have not been physically marked down on the “Shotguns possessed bit” and likewise on my FAC.
All that exists is the transfer sale of guns filled out.

Is this correct ? Is this all I need until I renew my license and it will be in the guns possessed box ?

Because I’m now deeply worried I own guns that I was permitted to aquire by virtue of my licenses but not holding them legally because they’re not physically marked on despite having paperwork which has been sent to the police which says I purchased X guns

Anyone help!!!!
Thanks

Am I right in saying that you have nothing in your 'Firearms (on FAC)/Shotguns (on SGC) Possessed column' and nothing in your 'Table 1 Firearms (on FAC)/Shotgun (on SGC)' column?

If nothing is written in either of those columns then what Finnbear has said above is likely correct. If you have nothing in your '...Possessed column' then that is fine providing that you have whatever firearms/shotgun you have is in your Table 1 as this is a 'live record' of what you have/don't have.

Items are transferred from your handwritten Table 1 to your '...Possessed Column' once you renew your licence. I.e. if the record of the rifle/shotgun/FAC ammunition is written in your Table 1 then that is sufficient for ownership of it (providing it fits within the parameters of what your licence allows you to have)

The RFD you purchased from should have filled out both SGC /FAC's with the details of your firearms ................. an oversight almost impossible to imagine?
They have filled out the transfer of the guns to me and gave me paperwork to send to the police to say I bought them but they have no wrote down in the Guns Possesed box what guns I own

The RFD only fills in the bits to say you purchased, with those details, your FAC / SGC will not reflect any other info until, OR unless you send them back in for any reason, such as a variation perhaps, then your FAC/SGC will come back after the licensing office has annotated and updated your FAC / SGC.
The fact that you have slots FILLED, IS, enough to prove you are in lawful possession.

Have they written the guns into the table at the back of your FAC/SGC? If they have, you’re golden and the ‘old hands’ are just being difficult.

If they haven’t, then they should have.

However, I wouldn’t worry too much. Probably the best solution would be to speak to your local department and ask if you can send your licenses back in for replacement, as they’ll then print the new ones with the guns you have - given you say you’ve informed them as required, they should know you have them and be able to do this.

Words may be had with the seller, but that’s a ‘them problem’.

This is exactly what I thought, you have a licenses which authorise acquisition of guns and shogun the system licensing uses shows guns possesed aswell as the evidence of purchase I’ve sent them.

Think these auld boys have been getting me worked up for nothing ffs honestly

They are wrote down as bought with dates with signatures and everything is on shogun the police database and I myself have sent off my purchase receipts to them. So it’s not like they don’t know I own nor have these guns ffs

Think thee auld pricks have been getting me worked up for nothing

Nothing gets your heart going when your a law abiding citizen and a bunch of guys tell you own guns unlawfully and could get arrested and too possibly expect the police
Ffs auld bast*rds honestly

As long as the RFD has filled in table 1 "firearms " (page after ammunition allowance) all is good.
which they have and I’ve spoken to my RFD who is a good friend aswell and has confirmed all is proper.

Nothing gets the heart pumping like being wound up over possibly having illegally owned guns 😂😂

On page 3 of your FAC will be a list of firearms you are authorised to purchase.

When you purchase one of those firearms the person selling it has to write the details into Table 1 on page 5.

Provided they have done this then you are all good & you can ignore what the self proclaimed experts at the club have said - I’d also probably ignore any other advice they give you related to shooting, reloading, etc.!

If they haven’t done this then go back to them & get them to do it asap.

Yes, needs to be hand written on your certificates in the appropriate section, but it will not appear printed in the authorised to possess section until the certificates have been back to the police for re issuing, usually due to a variation, adding more, changing something, or a renewal

Oh, and don't forget to sign your certificate! I've bought/sold 3 times from people who've forgotten, bet if you look at the old duffers certificates you'll find at least 1 😇
