Site now finally handed over to new owner

Dear Members,
This morning we finally completed all transactions to hand over the site to the new owner, Charlie.
Its been somewhat of a stressful event to say the least, and I would like to give my grateful thanks to Alex (csl) for all his hard work behind the scenes, along with Charlie. Dealing with banks and solicitors is no fun at all
Solicitors in particular, who would pick the meat of a 100 year old bone!!

It goes without saying that I am grateful to all of you for your loyalty to the site, and your support and friendship over the past years. I know the site is in very good hands with the new owner and his colleagues, and no doubt will continue to grow over the coming years. Thank you all of you.

I shall remain on the site, along with Alex for the foreseeable future, but any issues regarding Trade, membership etc, please refer to Charlie.

Some of you who know me well have asked after my wife. She has had a spell in hospital with an infection, but is home now, and moving forward with her treatment. We try and remain positive for the future, which is really all one can do, given the circumstances. But thank you everyone who has sent best wishes, I am grateful.

I hope to make it to the Stalking Show with a close friend on the Saturday, so hope to catch up with a few of you, if we bump into each other.

I know that handing a business on to others is a stressful experience. I have worked on many change of ownerships of business and it always is.

But many businesses are communities and like children they grow up and have their own life without your day to day involvement and that is as it should be.

What is sad is watching a business just die because the owners don’t have the time, energy or resources to continue with it.

So thank you for passing the Stalking Directory onto someone who can continue its growth and support its prosperity.
 
Well that’s an end of an era! I remember this site from infancy from the depths of a passion for stalking, anyone else here from back then? I didn’t joint immediately due to my membership of ukvarminting.com no longer a varminting site I may add.

I have enjoyed stalking with Malc and had I not been going through a divorce and significant injury I would have loved to take on The Stalking Directory (TSD).

I look forward to the future and anticipate few real changes truly because the current system works.

TSD has out lived the social media exodus and that speaks volumes. It’s truly international and inclusive with national bodies showing representation.


Congratulations to the original team for identifying a working relationship with members of so long and respect for choosing the right custodian to continue with the project.

Wishing your Sandra a good recovery, and a tonic for her that she will have your undivided attention Malcolm, please also look after yourself at the same time. Ste.
 
Not been on here as long as most, I have to say the time its been with you has been a most enjoyable experience all the very best wishes to you and your good lady and thank you all' for the effort and time spent to make it what it is today.
