Swapping from bolt action to underlever

So after a few years of looking I have decided I want a .22wmr rifle instead of my .22lr although the old Brno has served me well I have a desire for an under lever. Someone convince me that this is a better idea than chancing the Brno for a .22wmr bolt action! I know there's the issue of moderators but that can be solved!

Most of my .22 use is rabbits and occasionally shooting sheep.

I shot a lever action ( not under lever) 22 for years.
It was super accurate.
I've also never had one in wmr but wish I had.

I did have 452 in wmr and that was awesome too.
I'm always in a state of flux with 22's.
I'd drop the 22 in place of a 17hmr or 22wmr in as much the magnums are far more versatile.
The noise thing is over hyped and the cost thing is a red herring because most plink more ammo away with a 22 anyway.9422williams 001.webp
 
I shot with a lever action 22WMR a lot as a kid in Africa. Really fun, great for all sorts of small game (including roe deer sized small antelope).

I periodically think about getting one…
 
Recollections of shooting Reedbuck with a 22lr - Reedbucks are a bit bigger than a Roe deer - about 50 to 60 kgs liveweight and Wildebeest with a 22 Hornet. Small cow sort of weight.

I almost did the same thing a few years ago, but I changed my mind when I actually handled a couple. They were light and well balanced but I noticed they all had very short stocks and low combs.

I fired one and the trigger was very heavy and it jammed every few rounds.

I still like the idea, particularly not having a bolt on the quad bike scabbard.
