Section 1 shotguns banned soon ??

I've never understood the British authorities pathological fear of shotguns with high magazine capacity and the use of slugs.
Mutiny! Or at least that's why the .410" Enfield musket issued in India had a wooden block pinned into its magazine well. So that even at short range those armed with such couldn't match round for round those opposing them armed with unrestricted .303 Enfield rifles. I imagine the same mindest still endured in 1988 when Thatcher introduced s1 controls on multishot shotguns.

I did try even mentioned about the getting shooting orgs involved and was told the likes of BASC etc are pushing back but so are the cheifs in all honesty I can’t complain with regards to west Mercia they have always been golden and in 15 years to have only one thing pushed back as much as I don’t agree or like it is a little sacrifice Im willing to make
Which means you probably didn’t have genuine good reason in the first place.

I lived at a time when it was legal to have a semi-auto that held 5 cartridges. To be honest, I can't remember having to use all five at any one time.

8 shot came in mighty useful when Pigeons were stripping the rape in the snow and hands were frozen, too bl**dy cold to keep reloading.

Earlier old keeper said he’d never used 5 shots at one time, have a photo somewhere of maybe not all 8 cases in the air but very close to it… certainly warms the barrel lol.

Basically an admission of a tyrannical leadership.....all done in the name of " the greater good" of course....

My reasons were good and justified but I decided to drop it as it seems they are stopping them across the board but as I’ve said before was my variation and my decision and nobody else’s
Fair one, I am in the, ‘they should follow the guidance’ camp and will argue my point if the say no and by doing so go against the guidance.

They won’t be taking mine off me come renewal as long as the statutory guidance still covers it.

Just wrote to my MP again about this, firstly to thank him for attending the debate, then I pointed out the recent GTA figure for lost revenue and jobs, and finally, I asked him to apply for a SGC, then he himself can see what its like to deal with a failed system (no I don't think he'll do it)
